International school jobs are available for a variety of professions.

As an expert in the field of international education, Search Associates are often asked if there are any international school jobs available for the partners of educators who are planning to move overseas. If you are in a similar situation, you may be happy to know that many international schools offer a wide range of job opportunities beyond primary and secondary teachers.

Explore the Different Non-Teaching Roles in International Schools

International schools often serve as the heart of their local community, which means that there are plenty of ways for non-teaching partners to become involved in school life. International schools also employ a variety of support staff to help run their operations smoothly. While not all schools may be looking to fill these roles, we work with schools that have a need for the following positions:

Qualifications and Experience Required

To apply for any of these positions, you will need to be either qualified in the field or at least have a related degree. In some cases, relevant experience or sheer enthusiasm might be enough to secure the job. If you have previous experience working in a K-12 school setting, this can also be an advantage. Some schools may require a ‘working with children’ clearance from your home country if you intend to work or volunteer in the school.

Benefits of Being an Early Childhood Educator in International Schools

If you are an early childhood educator, you will be happy to know that your unique skillset is always in high demand in international schools. Unlike in Australia and New Zealand, early childhood educators in international schools receive the same holidays and pay scale as all other teachers within the school. They are also often the first hired in international schools.
