Virtual Job Fair for teachers looking to work internationally

Each year Search Associates holds job fairs across the globe, to bring international school recruiters and candidates together. Once again the majority of our fairs will be held virtually.
Search Associates have been working hard behind the scenes to make these more personalised. We will have more opportunities to ‘meet’ other attendees and have planned new additions to our fair platform with the aim of adding as much ‘human interaction’ as is possible within the virtual fair space.
Virtual fairs are an easy, cheap alternative to meet with schools looking to hire educators. They do not compare to a face-to-face experience, for making connections, networking, and professional development, but they aim to put you in touch with as many interested schools as possible and ensure that you are fully informed about the schools and the employment details.
Our fairs have been carefully designed with a specific curriculum or location focus in order to cater for different time zones and to narrow the field for both candidates and schools. We have fairs for teachers seeking their first international school position and for those who are highly experienced. Leadership positions will be offered at all fairs but the majority of them will be offered at the Global Dubai Fair.
Our office will be running the Bangkok Asia Virtual fair, however, we will be standing by during each job fair to assist and support our candidates.
There will be school videos along with live presentations by recruiters and a direct messaging function. presentations on each of the international schools attending the fair.
While the landscape of how recruiting is conducted may be changing, our commitment to excellence and serving the international community is as strong as ever.

What Sort of Schools Recruit at the Virtual Fair?

All schools attending the Virtual Fair have to be registered with Search Associates. Roughly 10% of all schools listing themselves as providing international education, worldwide, are currently registered with Search Associates.

This is the product of clear policy by our company to work with a certain type of schools. Each applicant school has to undertake a rigorous process of screening before it is accepted. As a registered candidate at the Virtual Fair you can expect specific advice regarding schools which are of interest to you.

Which Candidates Are the Most Successful at This Fair?

This is a very difficult question to answer as there are always exceptions to the rule. Teachers in specialist fields often have the best chances of success due to a smaller teacher supply in relation to the number of jobs.
Specialist areas include: music, art, library, early childhood, science and mathematics, and advanced level teachers (such as IB Diploma, AP, GCE A-Level).

Specialists do have an advantage over English and ESL teachers, fields in which the supply is large, but schools are always looking for outstanding teachers in all areas. Also in high demand: educators who have flexibility and the willingness to work in sometimes challengingly different professional environments.

However, any teacher with a proven track record and a passion for student learning can succeed at this fair.
